They want young singers to come along and learn some of OneSound’s contemporary arrangements of worship songs, covering a broad range of styles.

The OneSound ensemble are looking for vocalists to join them, but also encourage instrumentalists to get in touch.

Each Get Vocal session will run for two hours and will be led by artistic director Matt Beckingham. Matt has worked for organisations including London Symphony Orchestra, London Philharmonic Choir, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and Berlin Radio Choir.

Get Vocal is happening in Newcastle on 30th September at Heaton Methodist Church; Holy Trinity Platt in Manchester on 2nd October; Trent Vineyard, Nottingham on 10th October and Methodist Central Hall, London on 14th October.

OneSound was founded in 1974 as the MAYC (Methodist Association of Youth Clubs) orchestra and singers. They performed annually at the Royal Albert Hall for over 25 years. OneSound is now a fresh, contemporary, forward looking group, leading worship, events, and concerts throughout the UK. They continue to work with young musicians from across the country, support musical and spiritual growth in their members and aim to encourage and inspire communities and the wider church.
