A few months ago, I was going through my parents’ loft, rooting around for now-vintage toys from my youth to sell on eBay. To my immense disappointment my original Transformers figures were not in the pristine condition I remembered, but looked like they’d been chewed by an enthusiastic Labrador. Something else caught my eye: a box stuffed with what I tragically assume were the best examples of my primary school work. On top, with curling corners lay the crown jewel: my first ever ‘published’ work: Rad magazine.
