Meeting guide 3: Depression

Meeting aim: This session is a starting point for gaining a basic understanding of depression and how Jesus brings hope to all of us.

Preparation: It’s important that you offer support for those that may need it after the session has ended. Everyone is susceptible to experiencing bouts of depression, however for some it is an illness that requires future intervention. Be sure to know your church’s safeguarding policy in case you need to take action. Remember, talking about depression doesn’t have to be a solemn experience - embrace the laughter of games and the joy Jesus brings!
