You See Me

Use the following verses to help the young women explore the way God sees them. Not every verse is a ‘name’, but each one reveals something of how the Father feels about and responds to them. 

‘Brave’

Philippians 4:13 ‘I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.’ 

‘Wonderful’

Psalm 139:13-14 ‘Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out; you formed me in my mother’s womb.

I thank you, High God—you’re breathtaking! Body and soul, I am marvelously made!’

'Forgiven’

1 John 1:9 ‘ If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.’ 

‘A work of art’

Ephesians 2:10 ‘For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.’

‘Daughter’

2 Corinthians 6:18 ‘...and I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty.’ 

‘Beloved’

1 John 3:1 ‘See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!’ 

‘Radiant’

Luke 11:36 ‘If you are filled with light, with no dark corners, then your whole life will be radiant, as though a floodlight were filling you with light.’ 

‘Free’

Psalm 34:5 ‘Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces.’
