Decline in teenager’s church attendance

Recent statistics have shown a decline among young people attending church. Part of my role as the Church of England’s National youth evangelism officer is to look to address this very issue and help churches offer a hopeful future for young people. After ten years as a youth work practitioner, I am thrilled to be doing this important work on a national level. I know how vital it is that we support churches in youth evangelism but I know how challenging this can be. I know there is no single response to this issue but I think there are four priorities which contribute towards ensuring young people commit to following Jesus into adult life:
